A New design

We have completely redesigned the entire line of power supplies for Naim, based on the lessons learned from our highly succesful MiniTeddy Special Edition. This process took countless hours of development, testing and listening.

Some design highlights:

• High capacity filter bank: using Kemet/Aerovox capacitors with total capacitance of 30,000uF (TeddyCap SE, DualTeddyCap) or 60,000uF (TeddyXPS, TeddySuperCap).
• Active filter stage, with extremely high noise rejection.
• New “Tedinator” – fully discrete voltage regulator.
• New grounding scheme, with low impedance “Star Ground” structure.

New Sound:

The new generation of power supplies, improves upon our current product line, with improvements in the following aspects:

• higher resolution.
• Better dynamics and more defined timing.
• Deep extended bass.
• Sharp focus and wide soundstage.

Note: we have been asked why the TeddyCap/DualTeddyCap/Supercap are required to link the audio signal to the power amplifier. This article explains the reason behind this.
