Many phonostage products are delivered with a low-cost switch-mode power supply (“wallwart”).
The switching noise generated by these power supplies, emanates via the supply and ground lines into the analog circuit, creating a veil that obstructs the finest details in vinyl playback.
Replacing the OEM power supply with a MiniTeddy, lowers the noise floor significantly, and brings back all the fine details and micro-dynamics.
