The Eversolo DMP-A6 Power Supply Upgrade Kit replaces the internal switch-mode power-supply in the Eversolo streamer, with a Teddy Pardo Audio high performance external power supply.
This upgrade kit can be installed in 10-15 minutes, without requiring any special tools or soldering, making it suitable for non-technical users. The result is a big step forward in the sound quality of the, bringing it very close to the level of network streamers costing twice as much.
This upgrade kit is compatible with DMP-A6 as well as DAC-Z6.
Background
The DMP-A6 is originally equipped with a low-cost switch-mode power supply, similar to the power supplies that can be found in many consumer level products. This power supply has insufficient performance level in term of clean power delivery, resulting in mediocre overall sound quality. The upgrade kit offered here brings the DMP-A6, a major step forward, both in analog and digital outputs.
The Eversolo Upgrade Kit is offered with two power supply options.
DMP A6 Master Edition
The Master Edition has better components throughout, however the power supply is similar. Therefore the upgrade kit applies similarly to the standard version.
Update 7/26 – DMP-A6 Gen2
The Gen2 of DMP-A6 includes a linear power supply. However, due to size constraints, it is limited in performance. The internal power supply delivers 2 power rails – one for the analog section, one for the digital section.
Our Upgrade kit for the Gen2 comes in two stages.
Gen2 Upgrade Kit – Stage 1
The Stage1 is a DIY kit, assembled in the same way as the Gen1 Kit – same instructions apply.
The power supply has two positive rails of 12v, and delivers a much better performance (and sound) than the original Eversolo power supply.
Gen2 Upgrade Kit – Stage 2
The Stage2 kit is not intended for DIY assembly, as it requires precise soldering work. This upgrade delivers full, bipolar power rails (+/- 12v) for the analog stage, and +12v for the digital rail. This upgrade removes all the noisy switching regulators that deliver voltage to the analog section, thereby lowering the noise floor and improving the sound quality. Power supply: MiniTeddy Special Edition Bipolar Version
The MiniTeddy Special Edition, scheduled to start shipping on 09/2024, is a complete redesign of the standard edition. It is based around our new Tedinator discrete voltage regulator.

Sound
Comparing with the DMP-A6 in its original form, the upgraded model reaches sound quality levels that surpass network streamers at twice the cost: it shows better focus and clarity, wider and deeper soundstage, and deeper bottom octave.
Comparison to other conversion solutions
We asked a customer to describe the differences between Teddy Pardo external power supply, to another solution which can be assembled internally. Here are his comments:
Teddy Pardo’s power solution is much easier to install, takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. The soundstage is wider and more focused, the presentation is more relaxed, better balanced and easy on the ear on long listening sessions.

Excellent. It separates the sounds and opens things right up. It also eliminates a good amount of sibilance.

I ended-up selling the Eversolo before the TP arrived. Luckily I was able to swap it out for one to power by ClearAudio Concept tt. It works perfectly and the improved sound was obvious and lovely. Very happy
