The MiniTeddy Special Edition, featuring the new Tedinator design, is based on years of experience, countless hours of development, testing, and listening .
Our new MiniTeddy Special Edition is a single-outlet power supply in a compact-sized, all-aluminum chassis. The Special Edition circuitry is based on the new Tedinator voltage regulator.
The Tedinator is a fully discrete design, based entirely on ultra low noise JFET and Bipolar transistors with no IC chips. It is a result of countless hours of development, testing and listening. Its design is inspired by the writings of great minds like Walt Jung and Nelson Pass.
With the new regulator and the new circuit around it, we were able to achieve impressive new levels of low noise, low output impedance and fast response time, resulting in a highly involving sound, perfectly timed and with no apparent phasing errors, hence our new slogan : The Art of Silence.

The new Tedinator – Discrete Voltage Regulator
The MiniTeddy SE features the new Tedinator, a fully discrete voltage regulator, with no IC chips whatsoever, developed through countless hours of development, testing and listening.
The Tedinator is designed for accuracy and low noise, inspired by the writings of great minds such as Walt Jung and Nelson Pass.
Each Tedinator is calibrated and tested individually during the product assembly process.
The Tedinator is placed in a dedicated socket, and can be easily replaced in the future.
New Board Layout
Apart from the new Tedinator regulator board, the MiniTeddy SE received a new layout, with special attention to several critical features:
- Two-stage active noise-filtering.
- Low impedance ground connections (star-ground configuration).
- Low impedance output stage.
- Noise shielding in the sensitive regulator stage.
In addition, careful selection of quality components:
- Oversized transformer, with 80-90VA rating, depending on product.
- Main capacitots: Rubicon (Japan), total capacitance: 18,800uF.
- Electrolytic capacitors: Panasonic (Japan).
- Tantalum capacitors: Vishay (Israel).
- Film capacitors: Panasonic (Japan).
- All resistors are metal film 1%. Resistors in sensitive locations are 0.1%.
- Many transistors in the Tedinator regulator stage are JFET transistors from Toshiba (Japan).
Future Upgradeability
The Tedinator can be easily replaced by removing it from its socket, for two main reasons:
- Future upgrades to new versions.
- Change of output voltage (limited by the internal transformer).
I bought this MiniTeddy 12 Special Edition for my Innuos Pulse mini after auditioning a couple of other well known PSU’s. This one is my favourite without doubt. I am enjoying my Pulse mini much more with this upgrade. Build quality feels reassuring too and the unit does not run hot. Customer support is excellent. Since our own UltraCap LPS-1.2 is no longer in production (thanks Intel for putting Altera Max10 FPGAs on indefinite hiatus!), and since our fine JS-2, choke-filtered, dual-output, 5~7.4A LPS is a bit overkill for the EtherREGEN, we are happy to recommend the following affordable and high quality discrete-regulator LPS from Teddy Pardo.

The MiniTeddy SE is GREAT! Huge improvement over the Chinese LPS it replaced.
The best value for money in high-end audio. Used with a Nagra Streamer, the silence, black background, and musical details are spectacular. Absolute 10/10.
This 2A power supply performs significantly better than the original 1A power supply for my Nagra preamplifier. Not only did it resolve an issue with turning on the preamp, but it also improved the sound quality of my hi-fi system: lower background noise, more detailed transients, and a more obvious sense of the musicians’ presence. Highly recommended.
