USB-2-SPDIF is a high-end asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter, it supports up to 192kHz and has coax and optical outputs.
It is based on the XMOS chip, enhanced by ultra low jitter clocks and our SuperTeddyReg power supply technology.
The USB-2-SPDIF is built as stand alone box, no external power supply is required.
The Coax output uses a WBT NextGen socket. A true 75ohm socket, even at high frequencies.
Output: Coax, Optical.
Voltage: 110-120V or 220-240V
Sample Rates: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz,96kHz,192kHz.
Many USB devices such as sound cards and USB/SPDIF converters (such as the M2Tech HiFace) are designed to work without an external power supply and get their power from the coomputer USB socket. Regardless of if the computer is powered by battary or connected to the charger, the computer USB output is very noisy. By using th TeddyUSB, the 5V wires coming from the computer are disconnected, and the TeddyUSB supplies clean power to the USB device. This solution provides significant improvement in sound quality.
The design is based on the experience gained with the TeddyCap family of power supplies for Naim Audio equipment, and uses the same technology.
The TeddyXPS is a power supply which was designed to improve the performance of Naim CDX, CDX2, CDS2, CDS3, HDX, ND5XS, NDX, NDX-2, NDS, NAC272, and Naim nDAC. It is compatible with the original Naim XPS/XPS2 power supplies and uses superior, fully-discrete circuitry to provide a better performance.
The TeddyXPS in bundled with a high quality TXPS Burndy cable, at no extra cost.
The TeddyXPS-Plus is a power supply that was designed specifically for Naim's Network Players, NDS and ND555, where it will power those players' analog section, in combination with the well-known TeddyXPS powering the digital section. The combination of TeddyXPS and TeddyXPS-Plus, makes for a two-box solution that is fully compatible with 555 power supplies, featuring our superb SuperTeddyReg regulator technology
